“Rules are not necessarily sacred, principles are.”

With the exception of The Lounge, where jackets are required at all times, ChindAsia Club maintains a smart casual dress code in all public and private areas of the club. Special occasions, which will be announced in advance by the Club, will require either a jacket, a jacket and tie, or black tie.
No matter who the Member or guest is, at no time will gentlemen be allowed into the club wearing casual attire such as open shoes, collarless or sleeveless shirts, or shorts of any kind. In addition, for either gender, athletic apparel or any other casual or less than casual attire is not acceptable.
Ladies and gentlemen are expected to maintain the highest standards of integrity at all times. Any Members who are disrespectful, rude, or disorderly will be asked to leave the premises immediately. Repeat offences may result in disciplinary action up to and including the termination of membership privileges. Guests who violate the conduct standards may be barred from future entry into ChindAsia Club. Disciplinary decisions are solely at the discretion of Club management.
GUESTS AND GUEST ACCESS
Only Members and their guests are allowed to enter the premises of ChindAsia Club. Guests may not enter the private areas of ChindAsia Club until accompanied by their hosting Member. Guests may await the arrival of their host in the Public Bar.
Due to the private and exclusive membership setting, Club management will give seating priority to Members over guests. As a standard privilege, Members are permitted to bring one guest at all times. If a Member wishes to bring more than one guest at a time, he or she should confirm availability by making a reservation with Club management prior to their visit.
At no time are telephone calls to be made or taken in The Lounge. All telephones must be set to silent mode inside the private areas of ChindAsia Club. Club Members will be assessed a fine if their phone, or the phone of their guests, makes any noise inside the Club (or you speak on your phone inside The Lounge). The fine is equivalent to a round of drinks for everyone inside the club at the time of the offense, with half of the proceeds going to the ChindAsia Club Endowment Fund.
ChindAsia Club is cigar and pipe friendly, but many Members do not smoke. Our ventilation systems are state-of-the-art and as such, even non-smokers are comfortable.
Note that cigarette smoking is strictly prohibited in ChindAsia Club at all times. Cigarettes may be smoked on the terrace in front of the Guest Bar.
Members enjoy the friendship and camaraderie that is part of the ChindAsia Club experience. They chat with friends and business partners, share ideas and experiences, give and receive advice, and connect with fellow Club Members. They value privacy, integrity, and confidentiality. Simply stated, what is said in the club, stays in the club.
SETTLEMENT OF ACCOUNTS
All Member accounts are to be settled each night before departure from the Club. Members take full responsibility for any charges incurred by their guests. “House Accounts” are the preferred method of payment, whereby Members simply sign their bill at the end of each visit and the charges will be debited from the Member’s account if there is a cash balance available, or charged to the Member’s credit card on file.
House accounts may be used for any products or services sold on premises and exclude items delivered from the outside to the club, such as food deliveries.
The ChindAsia Club membership consists of ladies and gentlemen where your word is your bond. Unpaid house accounts are subject to interest charges and membership privileges may be suspended until the account is made current.
